Project Description

D Day 70th Anniversary
In June 1944 Noel Wilkes, then aged 20, was one of thousands of young men who took part in the pivotal D Day landings in Normandy. In June 2014, aged 90, he took a group of veterans and young cadets back to the historic sites in France on the 70th anniversary for one last visit. This poignant film follows Noel and a party of veterans and cadets as they visit the significant locations of the D Day battles and share their experiences with a younger generation.
